I'm playing a game with two other people. The winner is given the power to control magic and is trained by a powerful wizard. The game we are playing is like Red Light, Green Light, but we have to retrieve a glowing pearl from a circle. If we move when we're not supposed to, the wizard will conjure a spell of intense lightning upon us (I had just started watching Squid Game during this time, which definitely influenced this dream!). The wizard in his "magic" form looked like the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza.
The competition was pretty close at times, but the other two competitors eventually got impatient and tried to sprint towards the circle during a "Red Light" phase. I watched as the wizard conjured an enormous lightning bolt that sent them flying to the start of the game. To my surprise, my competitors were not killed, just slightly singed and in pain (definitely not like Squid Game!). With my lead, I manage to make it around obstacles fairly easily. When I get close to the circle, I sprint forward and jump onto the glowing pearl. I hold it up and yell to the wizard, "See!? I got it!" The wizard nods at me, then waves his hand.
I'm immediately lifted into the air and whisked to a magical world where I'm dropped in front of a woman with a checklist. She tells me that since I'm the winner I get the lion's share of the magic. She begins to put rings on my fingers with different runes on them. She explains the magic ability in each ring to me: left hand- ring finger: frost rune, middle finger: explosive fire rune; right hand- middle finger: lightning rune, ring finger: wind rune. I had other rings on my left pointer finger and right thumb but I don't remember what they did. Each power was used by flexing the finger of the ring and concentrating really hard with your mind. I practiced each of the powers, realizing I was able to conjure a streak of ice crystals, little balls of fire that would explode when I closed my fist, a stream of lightning similar to the wizard (except much less powerful), and a stream of whistling air. My two other competitors received one ring each: one received fire, the other received air.
Once they received their rings, both competitors tried to attack me with their new powers. I ducked into a wizard shop to avoid the drama. I find a big display of moonstone necklaces labeled "gems of light healing." I put one on, hold it, and concentrate. I am illuminated by a soft glow all around me and feel myself healing. An HP bar appears below me (like in a videogame) and gently fills up. I'm pleased with this and think to myself that I'm happy to wear these pretty, useful necklaces. Then I woke up!
