Elizabeth: We are all turning.

I am sitting at a round table with about 6 other people. We are in a zombie situation with some unusual details. We weren't bitten, but one by one we are turning into zombies. This happens sometimes to everybody, and we have kits to help us deal with it. We know what to do. As the person starts to show signs of the change, they put on a mask with ties that covers their nose, mouth, and neck, to prevent them from biting anyone (obviously.) (Also, hello Covid-19). The mask has ties because zombies can't figure out how to get them off. Once the person has crossed the boundary between human and zombie, someone else has to inject them under the chin with some kind of serum, which prevents the change from being permanent and helps them change back. Timing is the tricky part: the time between showing the first signs and become a full-blown chomping zombie varies and is unpredictable. So you might think you have plenty of time, but the person changes faster and catches you off guard. In our situation, we are all turning, so we are feeling a little overwhelmed because we are trying to mask ourselves, mask people who are turning faster than we expected, and have the serum ready for each other. If you are bit by a zombie or don't get your serum, you turn permanently, so you can't let yourself be bit and you can't let your friends down.
