I'm looking out over a large lake. To my left the sun is setting behind some mountains unlike any I have ever seen. The mountains are covered in trees, but seem steep with knobby, round tops - almost like giant, overlapping fingertips sticking up out of the ground. The sky to my right is a slowly darkening bright blue and around the mountains the sky is every color of pink and orange. Wow! I've got to take a picture of this to show Marie, Michelle, and Anne!
The surface of the water is choppy with tiny waves. It's...high. It's too high. The waves are at eye level, but I'm not in the water, and I'm standing on the shore. I see something move just below the waves and suddenly a few feet from my face a dolphin leaps up out of the water and splashes back down. I realize that the water is lifted up out of the lake. It's like visiting an underwater exhibit at the zoo with a pane of thick glass in front, except there isn't any glass and I can reach out and feel the wall of water.
