It was little all right! My friend Ray brought down his expansion pack and we started to play. Was it Catan? A Little. Was it Pandemic? Kind of. But it had this special musicial element added in. Each turn the player could acquire a tiny piano key to construct a keyboard to use in the game. Each key was about a 3/4 inch long and above an 1/8 in wide. Very small. But Ray was able, as this was is favorite element of the game, to put together an organ style keyboard with multiple levels. He's so good at that game.
I was at the mall where Anne works with some acquaintances. As were were nearing the food court, I remembered that I had a friendship with one of the guys who works in a kiosk right there. I was telling the people I was with not to be freaked out if he says something friendly to me, that we text all the time and there's nothing going on. We get nearer to the kiosk and there are about 8 people working in it, but my friend isn't there. All of a sudden one of them sees me and starts to laugh this deep, cruel belly laugh. They laughed at the idea that anyone could have said nice things to someone as pathetic as me. It seemed like at some point this group had taken over texting for my "friend" and our whole friendship had been an evil joke. Ouch. It was very painful. I wanted to report this group of employees to corporate because they were being so evil on the job, but I didn't want to give them some other reason to be cruel to me. Later on in the mall, the lights went out. I was afraid we were doing a terrorism drill and needed to actually hide.
It was the last day of school. I was minding an elementary school group for some reason, and also for some reason I was driving them around in Mrs. A's giant SUV, which was more like passenger van size. There was a stop in the road ahead near a cattle mart, I think some cows were loose. I drove on this muddy, rocky hill to get past it all - Mrs. A was worried about my driving. She told me to just cruise around on the top of the hill with the kids (we were in M'Ville) until she got back. I agreed and started cruising, but suddenly it changed and we were in the hallways of the school and we were on a giant multi-rider bicycle. It was sort of like one of those things where everybody faces the middle like a table, except the front part was like a normal bike pulling a wagon. I drove it up a giant staircase. Everybody was fine, but I had been worried about the bumpiness, and really surprised at how easy it was to ride up the stairs. As we went through the halls, everybody jumped off sneakily and one new girl, a former student in her twenties, jumped on.
