A man comes home and is looking forward to spending a night in with his wife. When he gets there, he realizes that she has gone with The Creeper. The Creeper has her in his clutches and can animate her body to use for his purposes. The man knows that The Creeper is there, but he wants to save his wife so he stays at the house to try and fight it. The Creeper kills the man, but that doesn't put an end to his suffering. The spirit of the man and his wife stay with The Creeper in the house in permanent torment. Years later, the man devises a way for his soul to escape. He's very sorry that his wife can't escape with him, but he's grateful to finally get away.
(This was my first dream of the night, and every time in the morning that I woke up I was reminded that I needed to write about The Creeper. I had a bunch of dreams since then, and the details are fuzzy, but I associate the memory of the dreaming with watching a DVD, I wasn't really "in it.")
