I am in my hometown and trying to get to Kroger. I drive my car there but realize that the road is blocked off. the signage is poor, but I know I can't drive on the road because a bridge has been removed. (A dream bridge, not one that exists). I see the wooden bridge has been moved nearer to the store, so I figure that is how they want us to get there. I start driving towards the bridge, but someone points out to me that it isn't attached to anything and would fall if I drove across it.
Luckily, I have my horse with me (somehow). I get on the horse and start to ride towards the grocery store from where I have had to leave my car. I feel like I must be a real sight, because I am naked except for a pair of short shorts. I am also very thin and feeling confident. My husband appears, leading the horse, and I start to feel a little self conscious about my nudity. He doesn't seem mad about it, but he does pull a bikini top out of a dumpster set outside a clothing store and put it on me. I laugh because he has put it on me upside down, with the triangles pointing down. I fix the top, and put on a loose dress he also found. I do feel better going into the store with a little bit of clothing on. (As a side note, I googled "upside down bikini top" to find a picture. This is not the look I was sporting. It was just a flat chest with upside down bikini top triangles. Also, careful googling "riding a horse nude.")
We never go into Kroger, but we find ourselves vacationing in Japan. I am still wearing the dress, but I don't have any shoes. We are in a shared lodging room with 3 other beds. My husband falls asleep, tired from all the travel, and I start looking for shoes in the cupboard. The items stored are all my own items - many of which I have traveled with at one time or another. I find tennis shoes, but I don't want to wear those with my dress. I find several pairs of crocheted flats, but they don't fit, and the ones that fit don't have soles, they are more like socks. (Side note, the first day I was ever in Japan, I wore a pair of crocheted flats that left horrific blisters on my feet and left me in pain the rest of the trip!)
I see that sitting in the next space over is an American couple. They are both blonde and attractive. There is some kind of weird undercurrent where the man jokes about sleeping with me. Nobody is mad, but I'm a little uncomfortable and I'm glad my husband doesn't hear him make that joke. I am still pulling items out of the cupboard and throwing them on an extra bed between our space and the other couple's space. I start to smell fresh pizza and I realize that I had pulled out a crusty, old, dried pizza from the cupboard. It sat on the bed and started to heat up. The man started eating it. When my husband woke up, he ate some too. I thought it must be too old, but it smelled good and looked good.
I see a pair of shoes in the shoe area by the door. They are huge and I know they will fit me. I assume they are "extra" shoes, because none of the other girls in the lodging seem to have feet that large. I walk one of the shoes around, asking the girls if they belong to them. One girl replies, "Oh yes, Savannah." Savannah is the name of the shoe. I am disappointed, apologize, and put them back.
I ask the blonde girl what she does for a living, and what has brought her to Japan. She replies that she works on Facebook. I understand that to mean that she is a Facebook influencer. I have never met an influencer, and I think that's kind of interesting. Honestly though, she doesn't seem engaging or interesting enough to make a good influencer, but I figure a lot of that career is presenting an inauthentic image. I ask her about a place I had visited before but couldn't find again. It's actually a place that doesn't exist, that I made up in a dream a few years ago. The place is like a fairgrounds with all sorts of Japanese items for sale and food. More like what the Japan area of an international culture fair might look like. I describe where I think the location is - she goes and finds a map so we can try to locate it.
In a separate segment, I am on the beach. I understand it to be the beach at Normandy, in modern times. The sea has gone out and there are tons of unusual items on the beach. I am with a group of people and we are collecting and digging up what we can. I find several pieces of worn silver which I know are valuable.
I come back in to drop off my items, when I return the sea has come in. The waves are strong and high. The water doesn't look like a normal ocean, it looks more like a wide river and the waves run the length of the river without breaking. They are probably 15 feet high and seem choppy and dangerous. I find myself on the other side of the river and need to get back. I am dry and I don't know how I got to the other side of the river without getting wet. There are trees on both sides of the river and some docks. I think I will be able to get to the other side and grab a branch, even if I get swept a little ways down the river.
When I reach the other side, I enter a two story wooden building. The building is full of vintage dresses. I find two dresses and an apron that I really like, but they don't have prices. There is a clerk working there, but she's not allowed to set the prices, only the owner is. I pay what looks like an "average" price for the items, leave a note that I can pay more if they cost more, and leave with the items. One dress is a pastel striped shirt dress with short sleeves and reinforced areas with a tougher, plaid fabric. I especially love that one, and it fits like a glove.
