Elizabeth: Bombs

I am in the northern part of the state for a music get-together. Suddenly a bomb falls nearby and I realize we are under attack - the Russians have set up in the metropolis on the other side of the river and are shelling the city we are in! We have to leave immediately!

But first, we need to get some recipes.

This is obviously an apocalyptic situation, and in these end-times I am going to need some recipes that work when there are shortages of many (or most) ingredients. I climb up to the top of a large hill on the outskirts of the city because someone there knows how to cook that way and can give me some recipes.

I don't know if I got them or not, but when it's finally time to leave the city, I realize a lot of people need to escape with me. The Prius is packed full of people and we are driving slowly through a bad part of town with other friends running alongside of the vehicle trying to keep up. Seedy men are circling the vehicle trying to pray on the womenfolk. This suddenly seems like a much more pressing issue than the bombs!

We are in the country and fortunately a second vehicle has joined our convoy. I count our total number - 22 people. We have a black jeep and the Prius. Unfortunately, I'm too slow entering my address into the GPS and we end up in the woods on top of a hill. This looks like a road under construction, but it's very muddy. We try to follow a trail down the hill. The Prius gets to the bottom and those of us riding in it get out to stretch our legs and wait for the jeep. We have a stroller with us that we get out and set up. We see the occupants of the jeep walking down the steep hill. Somehow the jeep caught on fire and burnt to a crisp. I am looking at the stroller and Prius and trying to figure out how to get 22 people home with just that.
