Anne: 'Tis a Witch

Robert and I are in a house that resembles the one of my grandparents. We're in the living room which extends into a hallway that has a bedroom on one side and a bathroom at the end. The living room has a sofa and two recliners at opposite ends surrounding a brick fireplace. Robert is sitting in the recliner nearest the hallway and I'm cuddled up to him on the arm of the recliner. Robert's mom comes in to talk to us. Halfway through her sentence, she starts laughing hysterically. We're confused because none of us have said anything funny.

Robert's mom starts stomping around and stomps down the hall into the bedroom. We hear her continuing to laugh and I hear her go into the bathroom, still stomping, still laughing. I tell Robert that I think she is possessed by "the witch." Robert is skeptical. However, he does agree that something is very wrong here.

We hear a loud thud and are concerned Robert's mom may have fallen and hit her head in the bathroom (my grandparents have a bathtub that is embedded in what looks like stone so the edges are very hard). Robert says something is wrong here because the atmosphere has changed entirely. We creep over to the bathroom, careful not to make a sound. Robert opens the door and his mom is on all fours crawling after us. He slams the door shut and tries to hold it back. She is telling us that she wants to eat us but the voice doesn't sound like hers. Robert can't hold the door back any longer and she leaps at us!
